Miroslav Vacura

Miroslav Vacura is an associate professor affiliated with the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Economics, Prague University of Economics and Business. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy and logic from Charles University Prague and a master’s degree in knowledge engineering from Prague University of Economics and Business. He later obtained his Ph.D. in information science from the same institution.

Miroslav Vacura specializes in the intersection of philosophy and computer science, which involves areas such as applied ontology, artificial intelligence, information ethics or the philosophy of technology. He also published research papers on political philosophy and ethics.

Miroslav Vacura was involved in number of EU research projects such as LinkedTV, K-Space or M-CAST. He is now a key member of the LLM4DEM project, which explores the application of large language models in democratic processes. He published over 100 professional publications, including articles in such journals and conferences as the Applied Ontology, Philosophy and Society, Web Semantics Journal, International World Wide Web Conference, International Semantic Web Conference and Formal Ontology in Information Systems.
